12 – 1pm: “Developing Psychological and Relational Capability in the age of AI” – Dr. Mel Sellick, Trinity Hall Room 104
Can AI systems enhance connection and communication? Dr. Mel Sellick joins us to discuss her research on how simple design choices can nurture or undermine our psychological, cognitive and relational capabilities. This primer on human-centric design will also illustrate why AI literacy, though important, does not equate to human readiness.
Dr. Mel Sellick is an applied psychologist specializing in Human–AI Interaction, with a background spanning media, tech, and social science. The creator of foundational frameworks for psychological and cognitive readiness in AI-mediated environments, Mel has worked with UNESCO, the Harvard AI for Human Flourishing Council and is the IEEE Chair for Organizational Readiness Human-AI.
