The President’s AI Council was established at UTA to provide strategic leadership, guidance and support for the development and implementation of AI initiatives supporting academic, administrative and research goals.
The council develops, owns and maintains an AI strategy that ensures ethical, responsible, secure and effective use of AI technologies to advance UTA’s mission in alignment with state and federal regulations.
The AI council is composed of a wide variety of campus stakeholders including faculty, staff and students.

AI Task Force
An President’s AI Task Force was also created to support the AI Council. Its responsibility is to ensure the strategic vision and policies set by the council are effectively translated into actionable and impactful AI initiatives.
The task force focuses on implementing AI projects, developing AI models, collaborating to integrate AI solutions and identifying opportunities for innovation. This task force is composed of stakeholders from across UTA, including a student representative.
